I found a motorcycle trailer that looked so much like the back half of a tiny car that I had to laugh. Then it reminded me of the Gold Wing I once saw towing a sport bike to Eagle Canyon Raceway, and suddenly the idea didn’t seem quite so ridiculous.

I wasn’t looking for a BMW R1200R. I had my heart set on an R nineT, but this fully loaded 2015 R1200R with 28,000 miles changed my mind. After owning several BMW boxers over the years, I can honestly say this might be one of the best all-around motorcycles I’ve ridden. It feels almost new, complements my K1600B perfectly, and proves that condition matters far more than the number on the odometer.

Arkansas has become one of my favorite places to ride. Coming from Dallas, I always enter through Mena via the Talimena Scenic Byway, and from there it’s nothing but incredible roads, mountain views, gravel adventures, and small-town charm. Whether you’re on an ADV bike, a sport bike, or a touring machine, Arkansas deserves a spot on your riding bucket list.
